First Look: Unidata WPU7700 WiFi Phone
IP telecommunications solution provider Unidata has recently made their popular WPU7700 WiFi VoIP Phone available in the US market.
The Unidata WPU7700 is a candybar-style wireless SIP phone compatible with most SIP based platforms including Asterisk, Trixbox, Switchvox and others. The WPU7700 features WMM™ for QoS and an Enhanced Power Save Mode for longer battery life.
A variety of security features are available on the WPU7700 including WEP (64 /128 bits), WPA-PSK, 802.1x (EAP-MD5, EAP-TTLS, PEAP, EAP-TLS) and 802.11x (WPA/WPA2 Personal and Enterprise).
The Unidata WPU7700 WiFi Phone also allows for the pre-configuration of up to 5 network profiles. The handset can detect wireless networks that are in proximity using a built-in Wireless LAN Site Survey feature. The WPU7700 features simple WLAN profile configuration for instant network connection, DHCP / Static IP, DiffServ (ToS) Tagging, NAT Traversal via UPnP or STUN, Automatic roaming between APs and layer 3 SIP handoff.
